DESCRIPTION:What happens when the records go silent? This session dives into the transformative power ofDNA\, showcasing real-world breakthroughs including examples from the Davis Genealogy Club.We will explore how advanced genetic testing can shatter ‘brick walls’ to reclaim the identity oflost ancestors and navigate the complexities of Non-Paternity Events (NPEs). We’ll move beyondthe data to reflect on the impact these discoveries have on the families who finally find their wayhome. \n\n\n\nDavis resident Jonathan W. Long has spent over forty years tracing all of his family lines back through the American colonial era to their immigrant ancestors. He leverages both genetic and traditional genealogical methods to resolve complex lineage puzzles\, and helps coordinate the DavisGenealogy Club’s DNA study group.
