The Pirate’s Wife: The Remarkable True Story of Sarah Kidd by Daphne Palmer Geanacopoulos (2023) – not to be confused with books with similar titles about pirates and wives! Based on a trove of original documents, The Pirate’s Wife reveals insights into The Golden Age of Piracy and offers a female-centered view of a time in history typically oriented around the accomplishments of men.

Event Details: This in-person event starts with a complimentary lunch in the Valente Room and moves to the Genealogy Library (also at the Davis Senior Center) for the book discussion and is open to members only.
