96.5% of genealogy research time is spent looking for ancestors. (I made that up—I really don’t know.) But what about all those newbie danglers in the family branches, say mid-20th century to present? Or those descending from the long-ago collateral relatives of g-g-g-g-grandpa John? Truncated branches can grow leaves and bear fruit. Fruit stones can grow trees. Let’s discuss the gains from this (eco-friendly) fertilizer of genealogy research.
