Topic Talk – Pennsylvania

One of the original colonies, over generations a destination of Dutch and German immigrants (and so many other ethnicities), epicenter of 19^th-20^th-century steel production and coalmining, haven for Quakers and Amish, site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  With plenty of repositories in this important fifth-largest state (by population), genealogists can dig in these mines – both anthracite and bituminous.
